Job Responsibilities

- Driving and operating the borehole drilling rig as a driller on approved sites

- Scan the drilling environment and adopt the correct drilling procedure and correct tools to avoid wastage of resources

- Timeous log in of trips, fuel and oils drawn and drilling operations for accountability

- Reporting off faults to the immediate supervisor

- Supervising rig crew for improved operational results

- Recording and reporting of all drilling points made including status achieved

- Cleaning and checking of functionality of the rig before use

- Scheduling of drilling trips and taking custody of all drilling associated materials not limited to casings

- Any other duties as assigned from time to time by the supervisor

Skills and Abilities

- A clean Class 2 driver's license

- Ability to read and write

- Possession of Certificate in Borehole Drilling Rig Operation from a reputable training institution is a must

- A minimum of 1-year practical experience as a driller is a must

- A defensive driver's certificate and qualifications in mechanics are an added advantage

- No criminal record (Attach fingerprints)

- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment

- Ability to operate other earth moving equipment is an added advantage

- At least 25-40 years old
