SOS Hermann Gmeiner Maizelands Primary School in Bindura, Zimbabwe, is hiring a Gardner to maintain the school's grounds and gardens, creating a clean and welcoming environment for students and staff
Job Responsibilities
- Grounds Maintenance: Keep the surrounding areas clean, dig and add fertilizer to gardens, water plants, and remove weeds
- Lawn Care : Cut, water, and maintain lawns in good condition, trimming and edging around pavements and flower beds
- Plant Care : Plant, tend, and water trees, shrubs, flowerbeds, and rockeries
- Waste Management : Clean grounds, remove litter and waste, and dispose of it in a neat and orderly manner
- Additional Tasks: Clean drainage lines, burn waste, and perform other duties as instructed by the supervisor
How to Apply
- Education : Five Ordinary Level passes, including English- Grounds Maintenance : Keep the surrounding areas clean, dig and add fertilizer to gardens, water plants, and remove weeds
- Lawn Care : Cut, water, and maintain lawns in good condition, trimming and edging around pavements and flower beds
- Plant Care : Plant, tend, and water trees, shrubs, flowerbeds, and rockeries
- Waste Management : Clean grounds, remove litter and waste, and dispose of it in a neat and orderly manner
- Additional Tasks : Clean drainage lines, burn waste, and perform other duties as instructed by the supervisor
- Experience : 1-2 years of experience in a similar environment, preferably child-friendly
- Attributes : Team player, ability to work with minimal supervision, and good communication skills
