Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager / Customs Clearing Manager to oversee procurement, supply chain, and customs clearing functions. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with ZIMRA requirements and manage all procurement and clearing activities in line with company policies and statutory obligations.

Job Responsibilities

- Develop and implement procurement and supply chain strategies.

• Manage supplier sourcing, evaluation, and negotiations.

• Oversee customs clearance processes, ensuring compliance with ZIMRA regulations.

• Prepare and submit ZIMRA customs declarations and relevant documentation.

• Liaise with ZIMRA, shipping agents, and freight forwarders to ensure smooth import/export processes.

• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely procurement of goods and services.

• Maintain accurate procurement and customs records for audits and compliance.

• Advise management on cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation

Skills and Abilities

• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in procurement and customs management systems.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

• Membership with a recognized professional body (an added advantage).

Educational Qualification

- A degree or professional certification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Customs & Clearing (e.g. CIPS, Diploma in Procurement, or Customs Clearing Certification).

• In-depth knowledge of ZIMRA requirements and customs procedures.

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, or customs clearing.
