Our client, a well-established organisation in the electronic security systems industry, is looking for a Technical Sales Representative with technical and sales acumen to join their team.
Role Overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business, managing existing accounts, and driving sales while leveraging their technical expertise to effectively communicate the features and benefits of products to prospective clients, ensuring customer needs are met with the right solutions. This position reports to the Technical Sales and Marketing Manager.
- Sales Development & Lead Generation: Proactively identify and pursue new business
- opportunities by generating leads through cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
- Product Presentations & Consultations: Conduct technical consultations with clients to
- understand their security needs and present and demonstrate products, explaining technical specifications and benefits.
- Sales Negotiations & Closures: Drive sales by negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts with clients. Work to close deals and exceed sales targets while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with the engineering and customer support teams to ensure the technical specifications and installation requirements of security solutions are met.
- Product Knowledge & Training: Stay up-to-date with the latest products, technologies, and trends in the electronic security industry.
- Customer Support: Offer exceptional after-sales support, ensuring clients are fully satisfied with their security systems and assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues when necessary.
- Sales Reporting & Administration: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline management in the system.
-- Required Skills & Experience:
- Ability to manage social media platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Degree/Diploma in Sales and Marketing or equivalent
- 2-3 Years' experience in technical sales.
- Clear understanding of electronic security systems e. g. CCTVs, Alarms, Access control, Biometric and electric fence/ gate automation.
Class 4 drivers' licence is a prerequisite
