Mountain Lakes Resort is excited to invite applications for the position of Accounting Graduate Trainee. We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic recent graduate who holds a Degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field and is eager to kickstart their career in a dynamic hospitality environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial statements
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including data entry, reconciliations, and supplier/customer queries
- Contribute to bank and account reconciliations
- Help track and monitor budget vs. actual expenditures
- Prepare and maintain supporting documents for audits and internal reviews
- Assist in tax filings and statutory reporting under supervision
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation
- Learn and use accounting software and tools (e.g. QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, and Excel)
- Participate in finance meetings and reporting sessions, providing input and taking notes as needed
Skills and Abilities
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic finance
team
Educational Qualification
- A recent graduate (within the last 1-2 years) with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
