Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced, self-motivated and task-oriented individuals to fill the above position that has arisen within a healthcare organisation. The incumbent will be reporting administratively to the Managing Director and functionally to the Board.
Job Responsibilities
- Provides input into the strategy development and implementation for the internal audit and risk section.
- Monitors and evaluates the functionality and adequacy of the internal control systems and advises management and the Board to improve relevant controls.
- Identifies high-risk areas and develops mitigation methods to minimize impact on operations.
- Formulates audit plan and budget based on the company's strategy.
- Adheres to annual audit plans in the performance of audit engagements.
- Ensures that all instances of proven/reported fraudulent processes/activities are investigated and that losses are quantified in a comprehensive report.
- Conducts market research to assist the company in benchmarking against best practices in the industry.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of the organisation's internal crisis management framework in addressing risks and accomplishing the organization's goals and objectives.
- Participates on contract negotiations involving insurance, and/or other risk assumptions or provisions prior to the execution of those contracts.
- Carry out audit assignments under the guidance of the Audit Committee

Educational Qualification
- A Degree from recognized University in Auditing, Finance or Accounting.
- Progress towards attaining CIS, ACCA or recognised professional qualification.
- At least 3 years post qualification experience in middle management auditing or accounting position.
