- Oversee sales assistants, cashiers, shelf stockers, and other pharmacy employees.
- Prepare drugs and execute prescription orders for collection or delivery.
- Order pharmacy supplies and control inventory.
- Enforce best practice protocols for storing prescription drugs and controlled substances.
- Verify prescription details with healthcare specialists.
- Advise customers about medication use, dosage, and possible side-effects.
- Maintain approved drug and controlled substances lists and verify expiry dates.
- Monitor product displays and shelves.
- Address customer requests and complaints.
- Appoint and train new pharmacy employees and schedule shifts.
- Demonstrable experience in a managerial capacity at a pharmacy.
- In-depth knowledge of pharmacological uses and side effects of prescription drugs.
- Advanced knowledge of protocols regulating safe storage of prescription drugs.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Ability to proactively follow up on irregularities.
- Competency in pharmacy management software.
- Bachelor of Pharmacy honors degree accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education.
- At least 2 years' experience managing a Community Pharmacist.
- Valid Practicing Certificate (OPC) with Pharmacist Council of Zimbabwe (PCZ).
- Valid person's license with MCAZ.
